Who we are

Esca (withesca.com) is software for private drivers and their clients. It manages schedules, bookings, and communication. Esca is operated from the United States.

What we collect

Account data — name, email, phone number, and profile details you provide.
Schedule data — busy blocks, working hours, rides, and bookings you or your clients create in Esca.
Booking data from clients— name, phone number, pickup, destination, and notes a client submits on a driver's booking page.
Voice input — when a driver dictates a schedule command, the audio is transcribed and then discarded. We keep the text, not the recording.

Google Calendar

When a driver connects Google Calendar, Esca requests two permissions: create and edit calendar events (calendar.events) and read free/busy availability (calendar.freebusy). Esca uses them only to (1) write ride, travel, and break blocks the driver confirms, and (2) check when the driver is busy so clients only see open times. Esca never reads event titles, descriptions, guests, or any content of the driver's other events. Free/busy data is used at request time and is not stored. Tokens are encrypted at rest. A driver can disconnect at any time in Settings, which deletes the stored token.

Esca's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use data

Run the product: schedules, bookings, notifications.
Notify drivers about bookings by push notification, email, and — with the driver's consent — text message.
Keep the service secure and debug problems.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use Google user data to train AI models.

Sharing

Data is shared only with the service providers that run Esca (hosting, database, email, push, text delivery, transcription, and AI parsing of schedule commands), and only as needed to provide the product. A driver's public booking page shows open time slots only — never event details.

Retention and deletion

We keep data while an account is active. To delete your account and its data, email privacy@withesca.com and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.
